First of all, unfortunately Wizz Air will never have an union, the company prosecute internally those who wanted to create it, some workers they tried a couple of times and at the end they got fired, they appealed to cort, some were forced to be re-employed back by Wizz, the company never allowed them to fly, they were just sitting at home receiving a basic salary, this situation lasted more than a year.
The second point, they announced a cut of 265 pilots based on performance, well...I can tell you what that “perfomance” was based on: nationalities, 95% of those pilots were expats. No nationals were touched, ( Hungary, Romania etc.) most of the affected pilots were Italians, many of them from Cluj and Bucharest bases. Company didn't give the chance even to go to a reduced roster or an unpaid leave. Nothing at all.
Bad times for pilots.
