So let me see if I have the math right on this one. A QF skipper on $220K is doing pretty close to 1000 hours so thats about $220 an hour. A DJ skipper on $160K doing 800 hours is getting about $200 an hour. Thats just 10%- although I think the actual costs are a little closer than that. So when you take that over the seat costs on an 800, thats about 18 cents per seat per hour difference for BOTH crew!
And to think we're cutting each others throats to save the travelling public just $0.18.
