Why this many US flights still ?
Experts,
When I look at a flight tracking site like flight radar 24, I am astounded to see the hundreds of flights STILL buzzing over the USA, in light of the Covid-19 situation.
Can anyone help me understand why this is ? Are these empty planes (many seem to be regular commercial planes) flying to keep pilots in hours and slots open ? Seems bizarre !
I am down here in Argentina and there have been almost no flights (domestic or international) at all since March 20. Total shutdown. And the result seems to have worked in limiting the spread greatly.
