The sensible and welcome decision by CASA to extend medical certificates by six months. They must have done a risk analysis, therefore logically they should be extended to 18 months permanently. No reason to go back to 12 month validity. If it is "safe enough" now, then it must be "safe enough".
CASA complete a risk analysis, you’ve got to be joking. They do not conduct a risk analysis for any of their decisions, nor follow any rigid change process - that’s only for the industry to perform.
