As a 'critical' transport worker I am told I must stay healthy so that I can fly all those backpacking sons & daughters back to their worried parents from the other side of the world. Or fly critical medical equipment around......

It's many years since I last worked in an ICU, but ventilated patients have all manner of monitoring equipment whose data requires monitoring; pilots would be skilled enough to understand the data, learn the parameters which are safe and which are not.
