You're right in saying you can't trust the numbers coming out of China, but there's tangible evidence on the ground that the virus transmission numbers are on the decline. The
temporary hospitals in Wuhan have all closed, the country is sending
excess medical staff to Italy, factories and
other businesses are re-starting production. Of course it only happened after 7 weeks of lock down in Hubei province. But that brutal measure seems to have worked
