The ATR-72 is a slow aircraft compared to the Q400 - it becomes very noticeable on a sector like SOU to GLA or EDI. I would've preferred to see the Saab 2000 on it (yes I know it's being retired).

The average airfares on the new routes are going to be much higher than average airfares Flybe offered. If Flybe couldn't make it work on those lower fares - why does Loganair believe it can with pretty much identical capacity???
