I guess their hands are tied in some respects as before BE collapsed they were forced to look at the lesser airports and routes that no one served. I am sure they would like to cancel some of those routes now but would probably receive a lot of bad publicity as a result. Saying that, BEs demise has been on the cards for sometime so perhaps they should have kept their powder dry in anticipation. launching IOM - LPL in competition with EZY also seems a very strange move. There is surely a lot more lower hanging fruit for them to grab. Gold star for anyone who can come up with a more ridiculous route than ABZ - NQY as well. Pretty sure there is not much oil business being done on Newquay beach.
