Short contaminated?
Random example, ENHD Haugesund rwy 31, temp 2c ,wind calm, QNH 999 and the BA medium to good,T/O Weight 71800kg:
Flap 5 Max allowed weight : 69749kg
Flaps15 ..............................:70887kg
Flaps25...............................:71803kg with 26k full and V1-124 Vr-138 and V2-146.
So, this gives You a margin of 3kg
BTW
HAU rwy 31 is 2060m no stopway and 300m clearway ( ocean).
On a fine summer day You are good with Flaps 5 at 25c, but as it starts raining as You start up You are down to 68882kg max,
Flaps 25 it is only going to give You 71134kg
What to do?
Start APU and review the No Engine Bleed Takeoff SP CL ( Never done it myself)
Off you go with a max allowed of 71989kg.
Ps dont forget that APU at FL100
