A lot of this could just be talk to appease investors for the time being. Gotta remember, it's two years from selection to line, so whoever they hire now, they're hiring for two years from now. By then, coronavirus will have been and gone. All the aircraft on order are still being delivered. These freezes are probably more targeted towards immediate, non TR cadets and the like, imo.
