Reasons to divert from LCY to STN?

I heard BA3296 (G-LCYK ERJ 190-100 SR) diverted yesterday from LCY to STN and landed with the fire service in attendance. It was announced as an unspecified, minor technical fault. What would be the possible reasons for that trip to EGSS?
