Well, according to a couple of his friends/former colleagues, speaking long after the fact and obviously motivated to defend their friend. Taken in the context of the messages we've seen, that conclusion is not necessarily warranted. It's all very likely to be made clear, eventually. The legal processes will grind slowly but very fine.
