Seems their rather rapid expansion has come to bite their behind...
It's an interesting topic of conversation. Someone had counted up the other day and we have apparently launched 32 new routes in the last year and ditched 8. Even though some were probably dead certs like the EMA-EDI & GLA routes, there are many that weren't but have worked. A few of the 8 were said to be reliant on outside forces like corporate arrangements or airport support which sound not to have turned out as expected either. Certainly I think it's far better that routes that aren't working are dropped quickly instead of being allowed to rack up big losses.
Time to get the SAAB back! ;-)
If it's late, the ATR is doing better than the Saab 2000 did at that stage of its life then. If my memory is right, even the Saab 2000 CAA demo flight was about eight hours late!
