For the months of May & June the company's pilot staffing is over by 90 pilots primarily on the B737 fleet due to the effects of the continues grounding for the B737 MAX. The company has indicated that should this situation continue past September there is a possibility of further measures including the termination of pilot contracts.
Wow. That will start the unrest. I can see where they are coming from but surely there are different avenues to consider before announcing (is threatning the right word?) possibilities of layoffs. Have they done anything to mitigate against this since the MAX grounding last year? Genuine question as I don't know.
