However, QE class carriers are by no means a bad compromise: only 64% the tonnage of a USN nuclear carrier but with nearly 90% of the deck area and spots for 45 aircraft on deck and 25 in the hangar (total 70).

Thanks to their Integrated Electric Propulsion and advanced automation, they only require 23% of the ship's company, too (800 vs 3,500).
