This would be a nightmare for passengers. Tens of thousands of passengers would be left stranded every year. EU261 is a good law that has kept airlines "honest". It isn't the passengers' fault that age profile of FlyBE planes is so high and their reliability so low....also the other LCCs would love to have that extended to their operations in the UK too.
