I know the plan is to replace the BA operated LCY-IOM flights with this, but apparently BA aren’t keen as the ATR doesn’t have a proper galley like the 2000... so proper catering for Club travellers.
Problem with the Saabs appear to be high operating and maintenance costs, the latter because of the difficulty to obtain spares (that is at least, IIRC, what other operators complained about). Loganair have never been really in the market for new aircraft in the past (except for the times when decisions for them were made at Caslte Donnington).
