I still struggle to understand (a problem I have in many areas of life apparently ) why any business would lower their production standards from those currently accepted by the EU on current trade, it is a sure way of ending their trade with the EU, and I doubt they would want to lose that EU trade so they can try and negotiate a new deal with a new trading partner country outside the EU, it would be economic suicide for them.
