At the time just after the Lionair accident, there was much in the press about the jump seat guy who “saved” the same plane the previous day by advising the crew what to do- I.e. turn STAB OFF. The flight had identical issues as the fatal crash but flew for two hours to Mindanao I think.
Does anyone have references to that event because it seems to be very hard to find online?
It seems remarkable to me that the circumstances of the previous day are very relevant, yet they are omitted from the official report I believe.
