fish Class 1 medical in different member state

Hi all, I am eager to get started on professional pilot training, my query is I currently have a UK CAA issued LAPL and converting this to full EASA PPL in Cyprus. I would like to know if I can first pass the initial class 1 medical before I reach very deep into my pockets and start the modular route after PPL conversion and hour building.

I currently work in Cyprus and have 15 months left here before returning to the UK. If I pass my class 1 medical out in Cyprus and complete the ppl conversion training out in Cyprus I realise My PPL would be a Cypriot issue one along with the medical.

My concern is coming back to the UK. Would I have to return to Cyprus every time for the medical as it states on the UK CAA website the medical has to be done in the member state the license was issued in?

But on the other hand I have heard of pilots going to Poland for the class 1 medical for cost concerns with a UK CAA issued license.

Has anyone had any experience with this type of issue?

Any my help would be greatly apprecciated.
