Volcano in Alaska briefly sends ash cloud 5 miles high

I',m concerned about the title word "briefly"

Once an ash cloud manages to get to 5 miles it's there for days, even if unseen by eyes. Yes the bigger bits fall out, but the fine stuff that screws up aircraft remain to be tracked for awhile
