I flew with a captain that is a beancounter wannabe and didn't want me to use datalink to get wx reports because "it's very expensive for the company". Sure, better get off the radios and create a potential for loss of communication if you stuff up the transfer of radios at some point...
So yes, I can see a pilot or two worrying about that.
