Not to mention even if Australian RPT time did count (it doesn’t), highly likely you will step on your own crank flying in and out of LGA, ORD, BOS, DFW, MIA etc.
The 121 flying is dead easy, but you really do need to experience it a little bit to find your groove and learn all the idiosyncrasies of the big hubs.
Then there’s all the north East winter/cold weather ops to deal with, again not rocket science, but it’s a learning curve dealing with timing a push with your EDCT, de-icing, not exceeding DOT times sitting on the ramp waiting to take off etc etc.
