the 750 was going to be lifted out of there this week sometime with a Mil 8 and bought back to POM.
Ah so! Reminds me of the way a Dz Bongo Van was retrieved from Erume (I think..will have to check) way back in '90 after it was accidentally 'reverse parked' off the side of the strip.
Pilot had a 'rich cut' of the engines just after landing and the brakes could not hold the airframe sliding off the wet grass strip into the bush!
Have some photos somewhere of the a/c slung below a helicopter coming back to Moresby. Will try to find them.
