Should Airbus be advised after a severe turbulence encounter
Yes according to Airbus.
"In case of severe turbulence it is also recommended
to inform Airbus.Note that in some remote cases
we have determined that limit loads have been
locally exceeded. In these cases some additional
inspections (On top of what is recommended in
AMM section 05-51-17) may be required."
From the Airbus Safety First magazine #2. I wonder if other manufacturers recommend the same.
