I can only tell you my experience and I wasn't a moaner prior to this event.
They certainly didn't make it 'easy' to fly in.. In order to fly in you needed to give info like qualifications, type and registration (all fine with that) to the outfit arranging the flying for the event. Once submitted, you were to be sent an indemnity (never received, so can't comment on the £20m liability limit but) which had to be signed by your insurer. What has happened to a copy of your certificate being sufficient?
Then, once all that was done, you had to obtain PPR 24 hours in advance of your intended visit directly from TAG Farnborough. And only then would you be sent joining instructions.
Maybe I am unrealistic but I couldn't be bothered, especially when I was never sent the indemnity.
