Folks, studying for PPL and using Trevor Thom books which are great but noticing a pattern that most of the material available for student pilots for PPL is generally based around fixed wing as opposed to heli's. Some exams are generic to both types of aircraft to an extent but some are specific particularly to the aircraft type a student is training on which in my case is heli's (Nav, Ops Procedures, AGK, Flight Perf and Planning) so I'm curious what additional study material is recommended to help prep for these exams. The book I have been using for revising for my ground exams has been great so far. As Phil suggested there is also a short blog post where I talk about the book and a dedicated page for helicopter study books (I can post a link due to a lack of historic posts but you'll find it via the link Phil posted). I aim to grow the selection of resources for future aspiring pilots as I progress through my training.
In terms of apps, I was recommended PPL Tutor by my instructor. As you say most of them appear to be geared towards the fixed wing brigade but for the early exams this is less of an issue, especially when the Helicopter Studies Book will easily fill in all the gaps.
