I know there are many apps but again they are generally based around exams being for fixed wing as opposed to rotorcraft so any pointers on books/apps or both to help would be appreciated. Thanks
The book I have been using for revising for my ground exams has been great so far. As Phil suggested there is also a short blog post where I talk about the book and a dedicated page for helicopter study books (I can post a link due to a lack of historic posts but you'll find it via the link Phil posted). I aim to grow the selection of resources for future aspiring pilots as I progress through my training.

In terms of apps, I was recommended PPL Tutor by my instructor. As you say most of them appear to be geared towards the fixed wing brigade but for the early exams this is less of an issue, especially when the Helicopter Studies Book will easily fill in all the gaps. You can find a link to the app with all relevant download links on my blog under the "Resources" tab. If you have any suggestions then let me know and I'll be sure to include them on the site. Hope this helps.
