I guess that this would also be a fantastic thing for "VFR pilot flies into cloud and gets disoriented". Now they can just hit the Autoland button and Garmin will figure out how to get down safely.
I do hope that was meant a joke.......... otherwise that's just the mindless application of an ill conceived procedure.
