A bit harsh some of the comments here. However I do agree that some stress can be avoided by not giving a fig about such issues as slot times, taking extra fuel, on time performance etc. In my later flying years I would let all that stuff float past and could not have cared less. It is important to do the job properly and all those extraneous and perceived stresses should be ignored and mentally discarded along with the latest management memo.
