EASA and EU Interesting reading

"A Mote in Brussel's Eye"

A revealing investigative essay on who is pulling the strings in total impunity within the EU with a long paragraph on its aviation branch regulator EASA: "Questions for the EASA" .

Pages are not numbered but if you scroll down at the approximate one fifth of the book you'll get to that paragraph, though the whole essay is woth reading as it exposes the intricacies of the european bureaucracy and its agencies, and how they affect the life of citizens, in our case of aviation the industry and the people involved..

Opacity, incompetence, resistance to change, clientelism, nepotism and outright dismissive behaviour against whoever challenges the established " Barony" seem to be the norm.

Within such bureaucracies is there a place in such for real profesionnals in the field ? and if indeed there are how can they carry on their jobs when they have to interfere with bureaucrats and lawyers.

I guess the very high salaries and fringe benefits in an environment where one and will never be held acountable fro any wrongdoing or damage will at the end
tame the very best of us
