Apparently, in 2018 alone, there were 228,047 car accidents.
Manhattan has approximately 40 people killed each year due to traffic accidents, the Bronx has around 48, 94 deaths per year in Brooklyn with 93 in Queens. Staten Island is relatively safe with only around 17 deaths per year.
