Example: Fact, (not this incident but generic), this is what the reports state: "aircraft contacted terrain in IMC conditions, the pilot was not IFR rated". Yeah, what do we learn---nothing. The speculation as to why a pilot chose to fly in such conditions is where the meat and potatoes comes in. Speculation and rumor, if read by the right people, "may" prevent another PVT non-IFR rated pilot do such a thing.
Sorry to be blunt, but: please carry on speculating----if one cannot handle it, get off the bus.
