Last EW flight operates from STN today to CGN. Apart from a few ski flights to SZG, the airline has now completely pulled out of STN. A shame, bearing in mind they had up to 7 daily flights in their peak just last year.
Sad to see them leaving STN. EW/Germanwings had been at STN for a very long time, and at one point was the sole operator of the CGN route before FR joined in with 3 flights daily. Always enjoyed flying with them and genuinely found the experience to be nicer than that of FR. The CGN route should be returning soon though (was moved to seasonal earlier this year, I guess because of competition with FR). So hopefully it won't be the last we see EW flying out of Stansted. I wonder if any other carrier might consider taking over some of EW's former routes? (e.g. STN-DUS, STN-STR).
