Did I hear that right, a 9.8 top up just on internals - max internal load is 20,650 for the F-22 per AF safety docs and I am inevitably reminded that the Lightning F6 had somewhere in the region of 7,160, I don’t have the numbers for the F1 but 6,000 can’t be that far off. Relative fuel loads and specific consumption comparisons between the early jets and today’s aircraft have always fascinated me, especially aircraft of a similar role and basic configuration.
