You’d imagine that there would be opportunity for something very nice above the shops, built as a mezzanine. Much like weatherspoons have. I guess there would be a lot of disruption for current tenants, so that’s ruled out until the current border/baggage reclaim areas are repurposed.
There was word of an EK lounge once the service went double daily. Some even stating that an area in satellite one had been cornered off ready to work on?
Being a MAG airport, I’m surprised we’ve yet to see an Aspire lounge open. Would be a good fit. Number One once had two lounges, one at satellite one and I believe one at satellite three (Ryanair). Wonder if they’d show an interest again?
Agreed that walking down that toilet corridor to reach the lounge hardly fills one with a sense of tranquility, serenity or luxury. 😳
