Try the LAA insurance scheme with Air Courtage which is a French company. After several years with Visicover, who I found inflexible and have just quoted ridiculously increased premiums despite no claims or other adverse history, I applied for a quote and was very pleasantly surprised. Their service (so far) has been superb and friendly, the lady who telephoned me within two hours of my online application spoke perfect English and knew her stuff. You need to be a member of the LAA, but that is worthwhile if you own a classic aircraft even if it is not on a LAA Permit.
