As others have said you are in the wrong part of the Forum.
Take a look at the BA DEP section that Lordflasheart has linked to in his comprehensive post.
I'll add that BA has changed a lot over the last few years, (e.g; the roster Bidding system has changed radically, and not for the good as far as many people are concerned) so be wary of taking advice from anyone who has been outside the company more than a year or two.
I'd also add the health warning that until the current Industrial unrest is over at BA nobody knows what the industrial landscape for BA pilots will be in the near future. As an example and since you asked about "layover times" - the reduction of the length of some layovers is on the company's wish list.. I'd certainly recommend keeping an eye on developments in the short term and keep all your options open.
