Here is a list of the Indian community in and around London - I think you can only count one of these Boroughs as being in East London - For the majority LHR is far easier!

Two in fact. Newham and Redbridge. Both have a very sizeable community. So why shouldn’t the Asian/Indian communities of east London be better connected!?
Anyway. The catchment area conversation has been done time and time again on here. I’m sure Air India have done their homework. I guess the good folk of west London will just have to trek across to Stansted if they wish to fly direct to Amritsar. Just like the good folk of east London have to trek across town to LHR if the want to fly direct to Delhi.
