I don’t know exactly how many Regional Pilots have had problems/failed their Jet ratings recently, but Flight Deck gossip suggest its more than half. I don’t know what the Pathways project will look like in the end, but I suspect we’ll see some changes in the future.
Those Senior Link Pilots who opened the back door may end up closing it behind them.
The irony in that is they’ve let in all the Link guys who only showed interest in joining once the interview was removed. They’re now well in to the pilots who have already passed an Air NZ interview process previously.
