They Katowice based and senior guy said Wizzair opened up base in Krakow because Ryanair requesting slots and planned to base 8 aircraft at Katowice.
Met and shared coffee with couple of same people last week. They live in Katowice but indicated that pretty much only growth around there was at Krakow with a forecast Ryanair 10 aircraft at Katowice, this may be old plan because of the Max situation but they forecast very little growth from Wizz in Katowice next year. Journey times to either airport is pretty much the same from Katowice but some don't wish to transfer.
