GB airways and Monarch both offered exactly what you say but as time went on and Easyjet/Ryan et al became bigger and bigger the price differential that they were able to command over them became smaller and smaller. At the end of the day price is king to the consumer despite what they may say. What they do is vote with their wallets.
Yes the market is small but if your the only airline doing it you don’t need a massive market.
Thomas cook need something new and something exiting to bring to the market, just following the market leaders just won’t cut it. Massive change is needed if they get a chance to carry on.
