An AN22 visited Farnborough in (I think) 1986 bringing a new engine for the AN124 after it had a compressor surge on takeoff for its first display. On arrival, the AN22 mistakenly lined up on the display line markers (dayglo boards) instead of the runway; it corrected very late and left substantial amounts of rubber along the edge of the runway from its sideways landing.
