Unhappy

dans le style brume et brouillard :
German budget carrier DBA, formerly Deutsche BA, is to test for one year flight attendants supplied by an employment agency when it commences services on the Berlin Tegel-London Gatwick route next week.

The agency-employed flight attendants will be paid a commission from on-board sales. Perfect Point will pay DBA a fee of €1 ($1.15) a flight to conduct the cabin service.

DBA chief executive Hans Rudolf Wohrl, speaking to ATI at a briefing in London, says: “It means that [on these trial flights] I don’t pay for flight attendants any more.”

Outsourcing the cabin service is causing a degree of nervousness among unions, admits Wohrl. But he believes that this is mainly because the decision has the potential to reduce union influence within the airline.
