Given the stated small characteristic differences between diesel, fuel oil and Jet A1 can't see where this would all go so terribly wrong?
Depends on application, had a portable indoor kerosene radiant heater which I tried to run on diesel, no heat, but lots and lots of smoke. Did I mention smoke? Could have hidden the entire British WWII Naval fleet.
