Later in WW2 Hampstead Norris was a Glider ORTU (Operational and Refresher Training Unit). My father was there in mid/late Dec 1944 flying Horsas (having converted onto type at Brize in late Nov/early Dec 1944), before going to B Sqn GPR at Earls Colne in Jan 1945.
