I applied about a fortnight ago as a direct entry, but no reply as of yet.
I emailed the HR contact before then with a few minor queries, and they replied within an hour or so. Some of their people are really on the ball.
When my old airline went bust, I did some dealings with Flybe. They genuinely did their best to help us out, and they offered interviews within a couple of days of applying. Sadly, Flybe offered interview dates that were just too late, and most of the unemployed pilots had offers from other airlines well before then. It was a shame, because they’d have cashed in on plenty of crew for all of their UK bases. Still, I have full confidence they’ll get to everyone at some point.
As an assumption, I think they will have got a lot of applications from newly-qualified pilots over the last week or so. With Ryanair closing it’s doors and all that. It could be the case that they’re getting enough applications to be quite picky.
