Ideas being talked about have included being forced to sign onto AFPS15 when you re-engage or accept promotion
Always used to be that when you re-engaged or accepted promotion your Terms of Service changed anyway (albeit, I accept usually only exit points, break points etc and not necessarily your pension [IIRC didn't signing up to PA Spine also have an automatic transfer to a different pension scheme? AFPS05?]). I suspect the MOD view will be 'take it or leave it' and that if you don't like the associated Terms of Service that are on offer then don't re-engage or don't accept promotion (although I get that some say you don't have a choice - I would disagree, from personal experience, twice!). If they tried to force you onto new Terms of Service midway through your engagement - different matter (but I suspect is covered by the "exigencies of the Service" or whatever it is called these days). My views, I'm out now (AFPS75 ), so it may be complete hoop.
