It’s quite possible that a second Cold War has already started between the West and China (joined by Russia, North Korea, and possibly other proxies). The economic war has been going on for decades, along with cyber warfare. The societal battle over human rights has just begun, and HK happens to be the centerpiece because of its proximity, history, and people. It’s only a matter of time before militaries become involved. That’s when it will become obvious that CX and HK are truly over and done. I agree that the prudent thing to do is leave, although I’m not following my own advice due to Golden (Silver?) Handcuffs. Probably best I start unshackling myself...
