Being a sensitive type with sensitive eyes have always needed good glasses. tried the cheap ones from the service stations but they never lasted very long. Brought a set of Ray bans on the way to PNG ( Glary place that with lots of big white glary clouds ) but they were not dark enough. got a set of serengety drivers (graduated and photocromatic) and never looked back. We were too busy to be putting Sunnies on and off so the Photocromatic is real handy while the gratuated means you can read the instruments. Only snag the sweat would cloud them and always seemed to be cleaning them with the old shirt tail, as you do, I mean thats what they are for surely. Never any snags with seeing my own face as reported earlier, that would be dreadful. Also tried randolf engineering ones (ie US airforce current spec). They are good but heavy and gave me a sore nose, also not light sensitive so hard to see when it got darker. Now wearing non graduated Serengeties as have been unable to replace the old ones which fell apart after only 5 years of continious use. frankly these all look a bit nerdy so if you want too look cool buy some fasion ones to wear on days off and leave the good ones in the flight bag. Have tried this but the flying ones are so good i wear them all the time and leave fashion to others!!
