I rather like the idea, in theory. At the end of the day they are merely aeroplanes. If you can fly & operate you should be fine.
I fly one of the types and I have friends that fly the other. They appear vastly different in many areas however there are certainy some similarities (however I think the former outweighs the later!?). There's clearly an element of risk and that needs to be managed properly. Thats the concern though; familiarity with one, unfamiliarity with other possibly mixed with the onset of fatigue, poor weather, an unfamiliar destination etc. I'm sure the authorities/regulators will be watching closely. As for the bean counters, an obvious win
